  1. We e-mailed Ms.Spooner to be able to talk at the GET conference. We are still reading up on our JSTOR articles and have gathered some stats to make part of out powerpoint. We will most likely be giving a TED Talk like presentation. We also worked on our topic proposal. After we have a good amount of information about our topic: How gender roles influence subtle sexism? We will start thinking of ways to combat the issue. (One way being just getting the topic out there via GET conference.) Also, we are using media and family as our agents of socialization.

  2. My specific research question is?

Why is the most popular video games also the most violent?

Problem: Because video games are targeted to males and because violent games are popular, male teenagers are learning to become violent at a young age.

to day i was able to get some more sites that help with the question of do we need violence in our lives also i was able to start my plan in were i will uses my gender project and expand on it to answer this one.

  4. My specific research question is why do men commit suicide more than women? Today I accomplished to find some research on how the media portrays men and how it can effect the way a man thinks and acts. How it can effect them emotionally, and how they respond to it.
