May 14: What solution are you thinking of implementing to solve your issue? How would this solve your issue? What challenges do you envision having? (Period 5)
First sorry i am late i keep fogeting and i try not to. The solution that i am going to impliment is to try to introduce people to games that are not voilent but still are fun. the games that i will introduce are inde games that are platformor and have to use mind not mater. i also will try to fix this by just leting the public know that the games are influceing voilent behaver. the chalenges that i will fase are people not trying to change or not beleving the data.
Brandon and I believe in the power of motivational speakers being able to go into schools with high gun violence rates, and sitting down to talk to these kids about the life that awaits them outside of the streets and away from the gun, if they choose it. This is a fantasy-like solution but for an actual one we are going to create a documentary. Education is key in helping improve the lives of these youth because like i said before, many don't know about the options that go beyond pulling a trigger. Education about stopping gun violence and all the pro's that arise from disconnecting oneself from it through a video, would be effective because many can see it a time, we can share it and get the message out there, and it is a realistic way of spreading a motivational message through a screen. The only challenges that would arise from it are being able to make the video popular enough that many people watch it so the message could spread and more gun violence can go down. This would solve the education aspect of my issue because we would be clearing up the ignorance that some of these kids live in when it comes to casually using guns. We would pave them another path with this video and open up new doors for many teens that don't revolve around a gun.
Studies show that the largest barrier between a child and literacy is access to literacy materials. Hopefully by providing mothers and children with access to age appropriate books for the child's first year, the mother will see the value in the time she spends with her child, as well as the knowledge and skills they gain, and the child will start their life at a literary advantage with a passion for learning and reading. Of course they can be no guarantee that the mothers will use these materials with their child, and so there is unpredictability in the outcome, but at the end of the day all I can do is provide the opportunity for growth; the mother and child mustt take it themselves.
